Diamond crossings open up a whole new flexibility in track layouts. I can build any variant with a choice of two different diamond styles; either fully boxed as in the example on the left (style A), or with an open center as on the right (style B). Prototype crossings were build both ways, depending on the situation. The crossing skeleton has all the critical work done to the same exacting standards as my complete turnouts, but leaves you to add your choice of ties.
